I featured this year's selection of Christmas bedding last week, but I noticed some new pieces online today, plus some kitchen products, so thought I would update you guys. I love the themes this year, deer, unicorns and Santa in his caravan. There's even a 'treepot', a Christmas tree teapot!

IMG_4689.JPG

Asda's Christmas bedding is now legendary, with so many designs each year to choose from, and fun designs in single, double and king size. This year is even better, I want the vintage Santa caravan, retro kitties AND the snow globe offerings. How on earth will I choose? Luckily prices start at £10, with cushions at £5 and £6 so maybe I can narrow it down to two purchases!

Early Christmas Present Idea- Buy Before They Sell Out- Dan TDM Pyjamas

FullSizeRender.jpg

Last Christmas I spent Christmas Eve driving all over the country trying to find an Asda with the earlier bluer version of these jammies with Dan TDM on them. I never did find them, but picked up a different Tube Heroes pair with different Youtubers on them.

I managed to get the older DanTDM design pyjamas in the spring, but I was already thinking of what kind of design I might pick for Michael's Christmas Eve night nightwear this year, and spotted a set of DanTDM pyjamas again on Asda

Its the same brand, so I know they wash well, and prices range between £9 and £11 or so, depending on age and size you buy. So not bad!

I'm tipping you lot off so you can rush and buy some too before they sell out again. Keep an eye on www.TheWorldofKitsch.com for a very exciting Christmas Launch from London next week.

Asda's Kitschest Cakes- From Giant Custard Creams to Dessert Burger & Fries

Asda are probably have the best value party cakes of all the supermarkets, and definitely the most inventive!

We had the cute Gnorman the Gnome cake back at the start of the summer, for a birthday. This week Asda sent us the huge, indulgent Chocolate Drip Cake to share for Sunday lunch.

It's the novelty cakes that I love, and for pug admirers there's a whole range of pug cakes. There's the full size Pabs and Paloma celebration party sized cakes, plus pug cupcakes and a small gift cake which serves six.

The coolest cakes are the oversized biscuits and 'shaped like other food' designs. The massive Custard Cream is uber realistic, as is the Jammie Dodger. The Donut Cake looks like a Simpson's offering and the giant Rainbow Jazzie is positively mouth watering.

Theres also an oversized Ice Cream Sundae Cake, and Burger and Fries!

A clever little offering I haven't seen anywhere else before is Asda's Afternoon Tea packs. They've profiteroles, cream doughnuts and custard slices, all in a little box for £3 each.

There are two varieties, Cream Tea and Summer Selection.

The prettiest cake in all the land has to be the Piñata Cake. A rainbow Wonder filled with a surprise in the centre. There are matching mini pinata cupcakes which also spill forth sweetie treasure.

The Smash Cake is similar, with hidden bounty inside its dome. There's also a giant pink cupcake, and a strawberry ombré version of the drip cake.

Lastly, watch out for the Asda Extra Special desserts, for posh after dinner delights.

Asda have the best duvet covers. They corner a much neglected market- novelty duvets for double beds and larger. Their fun duvet covers come in all sizes, from single to king, and start at £10 with doubl sizes usually around £12.

Their autumn 2017 range does not disappoint, with heritage animals, sassy dinosaurs, wizarding cats, mermaids and more.

Sets have matching cushions and soft fleece throws which are priced £5 or £6.

Mother's Day 2017 Gifts at Asda- Smix, I Want The Bell Jar

FullSizeRender.jpg

A quick gift guide for Mother's Day next weekend, and Asda has you covered for all the cutest Mum Gifts going. They are your one stop shop for the usual- gorgeous, lush bouquets, scented candles and beauty items, delicious chocolates, plus sparkling wine to toast the matriarch of the family.

What immediately caught my eye, and went straight on my wish list, was the £12 birdie bell jar. It would look so twee on a side table, or even a bedroom dresser. Beside a pastel flower arrangement, it has vintage appeal in the long standing popular shabby chic genre.

Asda kindly sent me some items from their  small but perfect gift collection. They are the better place to buy your Mum Baylis & Harding gift sets, if she loves them. They are always a good couple of pounds cheaper than the same sets in chemists.

As I mentioned there is a wide range of floral bouquets, but maybe your Mummy is a green fingers and would love to grow her own pink oriental lilies. It's a more thoughtful present if you have little ones because you can make the planting an event together, then watch the flowers grow as your child grows up also.

Kitty in a basket is another trinket that I'm going to have to buy myself if Smix doesn't come through with the goods. The ironic ceramic plate is just so me. There is also a bunny plate that could work for an Easter gift too.

What about a bunny teapot? So cute.

You can never got wrong with some sweeties and a lippie. There is an exclusive L'Oreal range in the Mother's Day department in your Asda store, with limited edition fun prints.

Finally, you are only just a mum to be for one Mother's Day, and it every woman sees a Mother's Day being pregnant. So if you're a man reading this and your other half is pregnant with your first child right now and you are wondering should you buy a Mum-to-be gift for next Sunday.... the answer is YES! Mummies of all kinds deserve a special day to thank them for the thankless work all year round. That's why whilst you're in Asda you could phone Mum and ask would she like you to make the Sunday dinner next weekend too. I love you, Mum.
