Quite Frankly Bonkers Bizarre Taxidermy on eBay RIGHT NOW (even I am a little freaked out)

In the spirit of my wanting to return to the Blog's roots, and without a charity shop raid this weekend, I thought a delve into the treasures of eBay might be a good substitute.

All these items are on the site right now and can be found by searching 'taxidermy unusual'. Unusual is an under statement.

What even is this? A mouse with rabbit ears sewn on? A freakish nightmare gone wrong?

Again, what the hell was this when it was alive?!

This taxidermist has bought a bulk set of the wrong sized eyes for these beasts and has thought, 'screw it, they'll do anyway'.

Right at first glance this just looks like a rather sassy badger, but looking closer it has a fox's tail and legs. There must be some crazy taxidermy lab somewhere stitching together these freaks of nature.

Merry Christmas.

What is this? I give up.

eBay Has a Tonne of Anthropomorphic Taxidermy at the Minute, & it's Too Weird Even for ME.

There are about half a dozen eBay sellers listing some really weird anthropomorphic taxidermy at the moment. I'm trying to find something for my husband to buy me for Christmas.

I'm a terribly nosy person. I love finding out what old school mates are doing these days. Given my passion for collecting taxidermy, I was excited to discover fellow ex-Sullivan-Upperite Suzanne Black is dabbling in the fine art. I asked her about her inspirations.

"I'm an artist that dabbles in different mediums, I take my inspiration from random things I come across in junk shops and photos, for example my faux taxidermy was influenced by some victorian taxidermy pictures depicting life and fashions of the time it influenced me to make scenes from my own life. My love for all things vintage definitely influence my style."

Louis Vuitton commissioned Billie Achilleos to scuplt a menagerie of beasts from their luggage, handbags, wallets and bags. The results are stunning.

May I take this opportunity to also say happy birthday to Jen Dent, one of my Vine app pals. She's 40 today and often makes 6 second videos with her taxidermy pet, Nigel. Have a lovely wine-box filled day.
