All I Want For Record Store Day is.... These Shiny Blue Boots

It's International Record Store Day and Clarks Shoes have released some shoes especially. Yeah, I don't get it either, but they are pretty cool looking. My husband was up at 5am to get to Head in Belfast to try to buy the At the Drive in release, which was sold out. If anyone managed to pick up more than one, could they contact me on Twitter please @rudedoodle Thank you!

Captured- Genuine Flabbit (flying, winged rabbit).

From the eBay description:
"Don't miss this unique opportunity to own one of these extremely rare Arctic Homing Rabbits, otherwise known as a Flabbit, scientific name (arcticous kidu-ous).

These wonderful creatures anually travel thousands of miles in search of carrots, Having the advantage of being able to hop when thier wings get tired, they can actually fly/hop five hundred miles daily, and can even fly backwards to keep the sun out of their eyes.

Some years ago I discovered that something was nicking my horse carrots, I laid a trap, in no time at all I had captured a couple of Flabbits, In a matter of days they were eating out of my hand (carrots of course) and i was soon able to release them into my garden. That was five years ago, needless to say I now have a small colony of these in my garden at a secret location in Cheshire. They breed very sucessfully, but unlike a rabbit, that lives and breeds underground and keeps getting wiped out with the dreaded myxomotosis, these live and nest and breed in trees thus avoiding the nasty little myxy flea.

Unfortunatly the lifespan of these creatures is not great, and although the Eskimo's tell me that Flabbit stew is superb, I prefer to let the taxidermist preserve these lovely little things."

My Latest Weird Little Tattoo, by Chris Crooks from White Dragon, Belfast

Chris Crooks from White Dragon Tattoo, Belfast added to my Eames' Lounge Chair tattoo today. I had the upright chair piece done for my birthday last year, and have rued not getting the ottoman added since. Luckily I managed to squeeze in some precious time with Chris, who has an eighteen month waiting list and clients who fly in from all over the globe to be inked in his studio in Northern Ireland.

Chris specialises in Japanese style art, with sleeves, cover ups and full body suits amongst his stunning portfolio. The pieces are clear, flowing, bright and vivid. I'm sharing below some examples from the White Dragon Facebook Page as my tattoo is a step away from Chris' usual work. My new tattoo, which also features Mrs Meow, is at the very end of the post. I LOVE it, thank you, Chris.

And here's little Jackson, following in his Dad's footsteps.

Debenhams Spring/Summer For Super Dudes

Debenhams have a bright, fresh Spring collection in stock for boys and girls. I've picked my favourite items from their online catwalk that I'd pick to dress my little man, aged 5, in this SS13.

Like most of his friends, he's a big Angry Birds fan. Debenhams have a wide selection of Angry Birds items, and you'll be confident in the quality you'll find from their products.

Novelty Singles. Mr Blobby, Spitting Image & Timmy Mallett's Itsy Bitsy Bikini- Which did you have on cassette?

I was chatting on Twitter this morning about how our son went and put his Daddy's new Fleetwood Mac Rumours vinyl on while I was in the shower. People were commenting on how well we were 'training' him to be a little muso, so I set the record straight (ha!) by admitting he also has his own iPod touch filled with Psy, One Direction and LMFAO.

But I believe a healthy interested in pop music from a young age is no bad thing for a serious muso either. One of my favourite, current music writers is Northern Irish born Edwin McFee,  is also a pop lover. I've happy, drunken 2003-ish memories of dancing around his living room in his student house with him, and friends Karen and David, to his press copy of Flip Reverse It by the Blazin' Squad on repeat, after spending the evening watching a somber Mark Lanegan gig.

Pop rocks, and here are some of the novelty singles from the 1980s & early 1990s that invaded my consciousness. I'd be very keen to hear which songs you bought as a child. Comment or let me know on Twitter.
