A departure from kitsch, but a competition so good I knew my readers would want to know about it.
My Mother-in-law Audrey Smyth is a mind-blowingly talented artist, specialising in sculpture and charcoals of horses, hares & hounds. A Royal Ulster Academy award winner, her work is highly collectible & sought after. Audrey is currently running a Facebook competition to win a drawing of the winner's horse, pony, cat, dog or pet. Just 'like' this photo link and you'll be entered into the draw. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=469033186460260&set=a.109647825732133....
www.Etsy.com has a wealth of Jem & The Holograms' merch. Including costumes made to order.

Completely in love with the stacking tea cup lighting from www.Next.co.uk
There were so many 'kitsch' items in their new Ipswich store that I've lots to share with you this week.
My many crafty readers will appreciate these spool home accessories I spotted on my travels to the new Next Superstore in Ipswich.
Starting at just £3.50 for the salt & pepper set, the range includes vases, tea light holders, cushions and a lamp base. I'll be sharing lots of other treasures I loved, the kitsch and the stylishly cool, over the next few days. All items are available at www.Next.co.uk but if you are lucky enough to live near Ipswich, why not visit the new store for yourself? It even boasts an entire shoe room!
