Continuing the 12 days of kitsch delights from my own home, the faux taxidermy flamingo. Flamingoes are kitsch, taxidermy is twee, but to get the two together, well I've only seen one on eBay once, and it cost a bomb. Summer 2010, UK High Street store Monsoon used these full-size, fake taxidermy flamingoes in their window displays.
Monsoon have a policy of releasing large decorative items for sale after they are removed from display, so I was in the second I saw them asking to out my name down for one.
