Patchwork Plush Stags' Heads by Gertrude Anna

Gertrude Anna is a bespoke soft furnishing brand, each piece has a handmade guarantee. The hands behind the stitching belong to Timmy White, a fellow past Liberty Blue staff member.
One of the most inventive & eccentric chaps I ever worked with, he now creates beautiful bags, wallets, cushions and more from the best vintage fabrics available. Timmy also styles business interiors, so if you need a little retro magic over there in Edinburgh, you know who to call.

Woolworths Newspaper Ad from 1970s

I've always loved books with old photographs of local towns showing how roads & buildings have changed over the years. 2011 saw a collection published of over 500 photos of my home town in the 1970s.

I joined their Facebook page www.facebook.com/BangorintheSeventies & wanted to share with you these 1970s' newspaper adverts.

If you'd like to find out more about the book, you can visit the Facebook Page, or check the store here-

Super Realistic Giant Waffles, Sweeties & Sushi Floor Mats for your Home

I first came across Sydney's hand painted trompe l'oeil work back in 2008. I got very excited when I found her sushi floor mat on eBay & bought it to brighten up my kitchen. Besides the excellent quality of the art work, as a practical product it has lasted brightly & without rips in our busy kitchen.

Product reviews aside, you can't ignore Sydney's talent for hyper real, larger than life trompe l'oeil. She now showcases and sells work through Etsy, so if you fancy owning big cupcake, giant slice of tomato, or commissioning your own favourite food to be made into a mat visit http://www.etsy.com/shop/artbelongseverywhere
