Vic Reeves' Illustrations

I've been a fan of Vic Reeves since the early 90s, so was keen to watch his new children's tv show 'The Ministry of Curious Stuff'. Just watched episode one on BBC Iplayer & it's pretty decent. Some of it has the feel of Vic's Big Night Out, but unfortunately Bob isn't part of this CBBC project.

When the episode ended, my son asked to watch it again immediately. So proud. I think he's still too young for The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer, The Ministry will do in the meantime. Vic also produces these creepy little drawings, and if you scroll down there's a video of how he incorporates them into a bizarre opening song.

I'm off now to try and find the 'Trapped in my Flat' song and Mulligan & O'Hare.

Dyson Vacuum Cleaner Tattoo

I received an email today from reader Andy Hussey. After seeing my post about Eames' chairs, he thought I'd like to see his Dyson tattoo. Its certainly unusual; I'll let Andy explain.

"The artist Bez had said he was bored doing portraits when we chatted at a tattoo convention some time before we did this so I said to him well do me a Dyson then... I thought it was a design classic and I am thinking of having other classics on my leg.

He thought the idea was great eventually he found time to fit me in and did it in April at Carlisle tattoo convention. I had to travel from home in Ipswich Suffolk to get it done but it's well worth traveling to get the right artist for the job. "

Which Craft- The Rabbit Rooms, Bangor NI

A little shout out for my twitter friend Maria's new craft fair. Which Craft is being held in our home town of Bangor, in the delightfully kitsch Rabbit Rooms.

On 4th February you can stop by for some pub grub and a browse of local craft wares. We are very lucky here in Northern Ireland to have such a thriving crafters' scene. Check it out if you're nearby.
