What are these deer up to? And why?
Hollowed Out Tortoise as an Ashtray

As a tortoise owner, I find this quite horrific looking. I'm pretty sure this current eBay listing doesn't fall under the EU taxidermy regulations.
Something very gruesome about it, but this blog is about oddities, so worth posting. Just not a piece I'd ever want to own.

Wonderful, Whimsical Marks & Spencer Christmas tins 2010
/
I adore M&S. They are one of my brands I'm a little obsessed with. The get retro design really right. They don't do mock ups of what they think 50's designs should look like, they really research the mid-century styling, and their yearly vintage tins are beautiful. I couldn't resist buying the musical tin for myself today.
Pearlised Poodle on a Log

My Mum bought me this little treasure in a charity shop this week. Thank you, Mum!
Bizarre Gold Mannequin Display at Local Garden Centre
/
I love Donaghadee Garden Centre here in Northern Ireland. It's an award winning store, and rightly so, every display & corner is themed & inspiring. I've featured both displays and products from them before, and went to see what they had on show in their new Christmas section. Love this kitsch golden statue! A bit different to their usual twee displays.
