Disneyland's Secret Basketball Court, Hidden Right In the Park

I'm a Disney Park geek. Some people get really into the animation and films, I got obsessed with the aesthetics, secret psychological tricks & magic behind the design of the theme parks.

I have vintage books on the design and building of the parks, and have spent hours scouring behind-the-scenes Disney park websites. One of my favourite Disneyland 'easter eggs' is that inside one of their original, classic rides 'The Matterhorn', there is a little basketball court for tea breaking Cast Members (Disney's title for staff). I thought I'd share it with you today.

A Miracle! Olympics 2012 Merch Pretty Enough To Want!

I'm the sort of sucker who loves buying all the 'stuff' that goes along with any big event. I've been sorely disappointed with the branding of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

I think the people behind the logos & mascot really missed a trick. Imagine bags & tees of the Lion & the Unicorn. Big plushes of Unicorns? I would buy ALL THAT CRAP. Instead we have some pink & blue Cyclopes that I don't want anywhere near me.

But, I finally found these British seaside inspired pins with the 2012 logo on the John Lewis Olympic merchandise page. £6.50 each, what do you think?
