My quest for a Eames Era plant stand continues, but in the meantime I found & won this aesthetically pleasing little planter on eBay.

Childhood Sweeties, Drumstick Lipbalm

I'm ten years too old to cross the threshold of a Claire's Accessories, but I spied these lip balms through the window.

Very quaint little tin of lip balm, I expected it to be in the colours of the original lollipop, but instead it has a lovely sheen on one side & glitz on the other.
I'm also pleased to confirm it tastes like Swizzels Matlow Drumsticks.

I love the kitschness of an object masquerading as something else, so although my realm deals with the ugly, rather than beauty blogging, I thought I'd include this treat.

My husband picked this up in a charity shop for me. If you have never heard the musical version of War of the Worlds, download Eve of War & prepare for a treat.

We are going to see the live stage show of the album at the end of the year, thanks to my brother getting us tickets last Christmas.

Royal Family kitsch has died out a bit in popularity. I myself passed over a gaudy serving tray depicting the christening of Prince William in a charity shop a few weeks back.
