Cosmo Blog Awards, a big Thank You

I'm back from my trip to London as a shortlisted blogger in the Cosmopolitan Magazine Blog Awards 2010.

Over 15,000 blogs were nominated, and mine made it to the finals in the Lifestyle category.

I won 'Highly Commended' in the category, purely thanks to all the votes my readers, Twitter pals & Facebook friends took time to log for me.

I'm over the moon that something I've done has got recognition, and that so many folks enjoy my collection of tack enough to vote for me to win.

I'm not ashamed to say I found the whole trip terribly exciting, and I wouldn't have had the experience without you guys voting.

Normal service will resume tomorrow, I'll share some of my twee little purchases from the city!

1960's Illustrated Circus Playing Cards

My plan for the Christmas tree this year is a 60's Americana feel. I bought these old playing cards on eBay & plan to back them in plastic & thread them to make bunting.
I've another set of mixed playing cards on the way, which I'll do the same to, then whack them all on the tree.

Also keeping my eye out for a genuine 50's or 60's saucy pack of nudie ladies to make some bunting for my husband's little studio room.

Masked Cowboy Brooch

Arrived home to a surprise present today in the post! My pal Heather from www.helloatto.com had spotted this tin cowboy brooch on her travels, and thought it would be right up my street.
I love it! It'll be coming on my travels to London along with my flying duck felt brooch.

Apologies for the blurry photo, all my blog photos are taken and sent from my iPhone 3G, which is notoriously poor for photograph taking. In a former regeneration, as Rudedoodle, I was notoriously poor for photograph taking myself, so I shouldn't give off at my wee phone.
