Ikea's New Twee Fabric

I've said before, Ikea is very hit and miss for me, but their new fabric by the meter is so bang on my taste, that I'm going to stock up on it.

The mountain goats with the little Swiss houses are absolutely must have for me, so I'll be making extra curtains for the bedroom (which is unusually neutral) and matching cushion covers for the bed.

The crabs could well make an appearance as kitchen curtains in the summer.

Well done, Ikea!

Dr. Seuss Cupcakes

I adore the illustrations in Dr Seuss's books & yesterday found a lot of 50th anniversary books for 99p.

Inspired me to make some Cat in the Hat cupcakes.
I am terrible at baking, so I'm pretty pleased with myself.

1960's China Cabinet

The second in my collection of cabinets, bought in a charity furniture place on the Cregagh Road in Belfast for £30.

I've wanted a second one for a while, but I'd be willing to sacrifice it for the space I ever find my boat bar.

Dishwasher Art T-Rex Attack!

Following the trend of fridge art, I've dolled up our dishwasher with a giant T-Rex head.
If anyone wants their kitchen protected by a huge dinosaur, the image comes from a GIANT poster in the 99p Dinosaur collecting mag available in petrol stations/Tescos this week!

I find Ikea very hit and miss in regard to my own taste, but you do pick up some nice basics and the odd really well done reproduction retro piece, such as this.
